The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) in Kenya is one of the major types of county plans in Kenya. It is a five-year plan that counties prepare to guide their development activities. Therefore, it is important to understand how to analyse a County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP).

The Public Finance Management Act stipulates that no county should allocate or spend its funds without a planning framework. The County Executive should develop the county plans. Thereafter, the County Assemblies should approve these county plans according to the law.

The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) should contain the strategic midterm priorities of the county governments. These are usually the priorities for the county during the tenure of a county government (5 years).

The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) should contain information on development priorities that inform the annual budget process, particularly the preparation of annual development plans, the annual county fiscal strategy papers, and the annual budget estimates.

Kenya Integrated Household Budget Survey

The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics has released the 2019 Economic Survey report which highlights the country’s economic performance for the year 2018. The report shows the economy has expanded by 6.3%, compared to 4.9% in 2017.

The Survey has other information spanning Kenya's economy such as employment statistics, public finance, agriculture, education, energy, manufacturing and more.

Allocation of Each County Governments’ Equitable Share of Revenue Raised nationally in the Financial Years 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020

This spatial vector dataset shows areas of identified high quality potential for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) development divided into large contiguous areas called "zones." This dataset contains zones for the Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP) region. This is one of many products resulting from a study led by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) identifying wind and solar renewable energy zones for the Africa Clean Energy Corridor (ACEC). For each zone identified, multiple siting criteria were estimated, including the total and component levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), average capacity factor, distance to nearest grid infrastructure, distance to the nearest load center, average population density.

East Africa - Renewable Energy Zones Solar PV (2015)

This Second County Integrated Development Plan is a five-year blue print that highlights the socio-economic challenges faced by the County, strategies for resources mobilization, projects and programmes to be implemented in order to address the socio-economic challenges. The CIDP II articulates medium term policies and objectives which are further translated into short term strategies, programmes and projects to be implemented under the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).

The Samburu County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022 is the principal public investment blueprint
prepared pursuant to the provisions of Section 126 of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012.  The CIDP
reflects the priorities set out in Kenya’s Vision 2030, the Medium-Term Plan Three (MTPIII) for the
period 2018-2022, the Jubilee Manifesto, the Sustainable Development Goals, the AU Agenda 2063 and
other policy documents and national commitments. The plan has internalized President Kenyatta’s Four
Pillar Agenda for the second term which is anchored on enhancing and accelerating food security,
manufacturing, affordable health care and affordable housing.

The County Integrated development Plan (CIDP), 2018-2022 is a five year plan prepared by the County Government of Isiolo through wide stakeholder participation to provide an overall framework for development.
